The IELTS exam syllabus is divided into four sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Each section tests a different aspect of your English language skills

Reading |
The Reading section consists of three passages, each with 40 questions.
The passages are taken from a variety of sources, such as newspapers, magazines, academic journals, and books.
The questions test your ability to understand the main ideas, supporting details, and the writer's purpose. |
Writing
|
The Writing section consists of two tasks.
In Task 1, you will be asked to write a report or describe a graph, table, or chart.
In Task 2, you will be asked to write an essay on a given topic. |
Listening
|
The Listening section consists of four recordings, each with 10 questions.
The recordings are of conversations and monologues on a variety of topics.
The questions test your ability to understand the main ideas, supporting details, and the speaker's purpose. |
Speaking
|
The Speaking section is a face-to-face interview with an examiner.
The interview is divided into three parts.
In Part 1, you will be asked general questions about yourself.
In Part 2, you will be given a topic to talk about for two minutes.
In Part 3, you will be asked questions about the topic you spoke about in Part 2. |
